About Me
- Name: Peter and Hinda Schnurman
- Location: Shoreline, Washington, United States
Since 2000 we have been volunteering with NGO's in the developing world for several months each year and have worked in Thailand, India, Uganda, Namibia, Mexico, and Ghana,Kenya, Ethiopia and Tanzania. We try to empower people, organizations, and communities. We are fortunate to have made many friends in the NGO's that we have worked with and we continue to communicate with them and provide whatever assistance we can. When we are in the USA, we support and volunteer with non profit organizations that empower people. We live in Seattle, Washington, USA near our children and their families. We travel for pleasure in the USA and throughout the world in addition to our international volunteer activities. We photograph our travels, and share them with friends, family, and many can be seen in private homes, non profit organizations, and on postcards, and other printed material, businesses and other public places. Hi Peter and Hinda,
Just read your July 13 entry - I think it's time you two wrote a book about your experiences. I was pretty much on the edge of my seat - truly. The pictures are stunning and the stories captivate me. I miss you both very much. All is well here - I have a new student from Ethiopia.
Take care. Love,
Carlito
Hi Peter and Hinda- I'm Rebecca Hershow's Dad and I just wanted to drop you a line to thank you for befriending my daughter, a neighbor at the Pabari Apartment complex. She's told me a lot about you and sent me the URL for your blog. Your pictures and entries bring back a lot of memories, since in the early 80's my wife, Judy and I worked in a mission hospital near Kisumu. I've even met Titus and went out with him on one of his excellent Lake Victoria excursions about 5 years ago. He's an excellent naturalist and a great guide!
I really admire your work and adventurous, generous spirit. I was in Seattle last week and particularly admire you for leaving that beautiful place in the summer! I wanted you to know that Rebecca arrived safely in Israel and has a short break before she begins her studies at Ben Gurion University. Thanks again for the friendship that you extended to her. I know she enjoyed meeting you and getting to know you. All the best.
